The Great Buddha of Phuket

by Pipso Calypso

Here we go with a throwback to 2016, crazy how time flies.

The Great Buddha of Phuket is a 45 meter tall statue on the island of Phuket, Thailand. Officially it is named Phra Phutta Ming Mongkol Akenakiri, which is reasonably hard to memorize as a foreigner. It’s definitely worth the short trip to visit it for sight seeing and can easily be combined with other destinations relatively close by for a day tour.

Nerd facts: Shot on a Sony A6300, which explains all the wobble despite OIS on the lens. I’m sorry!
